IMAGERY ALSO SHOWS A CONVECTIVE BAND MOVING OVER COASTAL NORTHWEST AUSTRALIA BETWEEN EXMOUTH AND PORT HEDLAND. A 220542Z5 TROPICAL RAINFALL MEASURING MISSION (TRMM) PASS INDICATES THE CONVECTION IS CONFINED PRIMARILY TO THE WESTERN HALF OF THE SYSTEM. THE LOW/MID-LEVEL HIGH SITUATED OVER THE WESTERN PLATEAU WILL WEAKEN AND REORIENT POLEWARD CAUSING TC 06S TO TRACK SOUTHWARD AFTER THE 12 HOUR PERIOD.
